THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The special purpose vehicle for implementation of smart city project; Smart city Thiruvananthapuram limited has again postponed the last date for submission of bids as part of selection of project management consultant (PMC).
This is the second time the timeline for submission of bids has been changed as the date had earlier been extended to November 25, forced by the delay in sticking to timelines.
All the eight firms which took part in the pre-bid meeting requested for more time for submission of bids. As per the latest decision, the last date for submission of bids has been fixed as November 30
The change in timelines is being necessitated owing to the earlier delay reported by corporation on the part of smart city CEO K Gopalakrishnan which had become a bone of contention between the CEO and mayor V K Prasanth.
The addendum following pre-proposal queries was also published breaking the timeline and the firms sought more time for bid submission citing that addendum was issued only on November 10.
The firms had put forward a total of 112 queries for SPV. The queries have been answered and corrigendum has been issued for a few set of queries.
In the answers it has been made clear that financial proposal will be inclusive of GST and corrections have been issued pertaining to mismatch in man months.
The timeline was revised to make sure that the bid opening date which is scheduled for December 4 remains unchanged.
